Purpose and Legacy

I had a watershed moment a few days ago at the Visionary Leadership webinar hosted by Immersed Inner Circle. I was validated, encouraged, and even chastised! Yes, I was chastised because I had stayed too long in potential form giving excuses.
One of the things the guest speaker (Fela Durotoye) said that got me thinking was: "Your purpose is why you are here. Your legacy is the evidence that you were here". Wow! Wow! Wow! This is so profound! I have never seen legacy in that light before. It also occurred to me that FD might have just given us a blueprint on how to find our purpose. ๐๐๐
A lot of us are stuck in the "I'm finding my purpose" zone and have been paralysed by this. Maybe the way to get unstuck is to:
1. Think about legacy - the evidence that you want to leave behind to generations unborn to prove that you were on earth.
2. Work backwards by defining the kind of evidence you want to leave behind.
3. String together all the evidence you thought of.
4. Start doing them! You find purpose in DOING.
God and men have invested so much in you and me for us to just leave this earth without a trace or evidence that we were here! It would have been a waste.
I donโt know about you, but I am fired up to DO and BE! I have everything I need to start. I hope you are fired up too?
