My Make-Up Journey

𝐈 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞-𝐮𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭!😀𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭:
 
On this fateful day, I'm not sure what came over me, but I found myself sitting in front of my mirror with a razor blade, deciding that I wanted to shape my eyebrows.
 
I think I had been to the hair salon and had seen it being done for someone else, which sparked my curiosity, and I wanted to try it out for myself, on my own.
 
Needless to say, the result was a disaster! I had managed to cut off most of my already scanty eyebrows, and I was looking 'amazing'! 😎
 
Anyway, I knew I needed to find a solution quickly because I couldn't just leave my brows like that. Summoning all the courage within me, I ventured out to buy an eye pencil and then sat down to watch tutorial videos on how to draw eyebrows.

And voila, I remedied the situation and became my own personal makeup artist. It may not surprise you to learn that I never attempted to shape my eyebrows myself again. 🙈

𝐇𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫, 𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞:
 
♦ Life is full of unexpected moments. Accidents happen, sometimes self-inflicted. However, it is crucial to remember that these moments don’t define us. 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬/𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡.
 
♦ We can get ourselves out of any uncomfortable situation by directing our focus towards solutions rather than fixating on the problems before us. Remember, 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐠𝐨𝐞𝐬.
 
♦ Adaptability is crucial. We must be open to learning, unlearning, and relearning as we navigate through life. 𝐍𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐞’𝐬 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞. Along the way, we experience many highs and lows, peaks and troughs. However, we must remain resilient and adaptable if we want to live a bedazzled life.
 
♦ Reflecting on my eyebrow mishap, I acknowledge that it could have been avoided. I could have opted for professional help at the salon, but instead, I chose to experiment on my own, leading to a less-than-desirable result.
 
While curiosity and experimenting are key to growth, seeking the services of experienced professionals can prevent unnecessary setbacks.
