Is Luck Real or Just a Myth?

The idea of luck is the belief that random, unpredictable events can favour an individual without their active participation in the process.
However, is this true? If this were to be true, it would mean that we are not 100% in control of our choices and our destiny.
This mindset is what makes people stay victims, continue to finger-point, and blame everybody but themselves for their situation.
