📍Allow yourself to feel the emotions for as long as you need to, but make sure you are not throwing a pity party and pointing fingers. You don’t want a victims mindset.

📍Review what happened. I understand that it’s easy to blame everyone but yourself in this situation.

However, to have full control and learn the lessons, you must understand what you did or didn’t do to allow this situation.

📍Make a note of what you should have done in hindsight, learn from it and use this to restrategise and plan your next move.

Remember, you can’t do the same thing over and over again and expect a different outcome.

📍Reaffirm yourself and make sure you are clear on the fact that you are not a failure and that the setback doesn’t define you.

This step is so important because failure leaves a dent on our self perception and confidence. Which is why it’s so important to revisit your identity and reaffirm yourself.

📍Pick yourself up and have a go at it again if you want to. Or seek new opportunities.

📍Seek help from trusted sources. Remember, you don’t have to go through it all alone.
